‘Harom Hara’ is an action-drama film, in which Sudhir Babu is seen in the lead role. After a long time, there was a positive atmosphere among the audience for one of his films and this film was released on 14 June 2024 with the same hope. The film is directed by Gyan Sagar Dwarka, who has previously made films like ‘Sehri’. The story of ‘Harom Hara’ revolves around a common man, Subramaniam, who wants to do something big in life and circumstances lead him on a dangerous path. The film starts off on a decent note and despite the slow pace in the first half, there are some impressive mass scenes. Sudheer Babu’s performance is strong and he carries the entire film on his shoulders. The film has a lot of action, which may appeal especially to the mass audience. Technically, the film has put in a good effort, especially Chaitan Bharadwaj’s background score is noteworthy. However, the second half of the film seems predictable and full of clichés at places. This film is for those viewers who like action and heroic approach.

Harom Hara Story
The story of the film Harom Hara is set in an area called Kuppam, where people like Thammi Reddy, Basava Reddy and Sharath illegally occupy lands and terrorize the people and create havoc. Meanwhile, in Kuppam comes a common man, Subramanyam (Sudheer Babu), who works as a lab assistant in a college. Devi (Malvika Sharma), who also works in the same college, falls in love with him.
One day Subramanyam gets into a fight and quits his job. He looks for other ways to earn money to sustain his life and then he comes across the illegal gun manufacturing business, which is very profitable. He starts this business with a suspended policeman Palani Swamy (Sunil).
Slowly Subramanyam gains a foothold in this world and becomes an influential person in Kuppam. The film further shows his struggle, his encounters with enemies and the depth of his character. It also shows how an ordinary man becomes a powerful but controversial personality due to circumstances and greed.
Special emphasis has been given to action, drama and local language pronunciation in the film. Even though the story lacks originality and is reminiscent of many old films, it still makes for an entertaining experience for the mass audience.
Movie Review
The film Harom Hara was a unique experience for me, as it was my first Indian film to watch in a theatre. I only went to see something new, but I did not expect this film to turn out to be this good! First of all, the sound quality and background music of this film was amazing. Every dialogue and song sounded very clear and powerful. This audio experience is what makes this film worth watching in a theatre.
The story revolves around a common man, Subramanyam (Sudheer Babu), who falls into a financial crisis after being fired from his job. Out of compulsion, he joins an illegal gun mafia and slowly rises to become the biggest arms dealer in South India. The journey is not easy – clashes with enemies, conflicts with the law, and personal struggles, all change his life completely.
The setup of the film is interesting – set in a small place like Kuppam, the story has been presented by the director as realistically as possible. The cinematography is very good and the choice of locations adds to the reality of the story. The action scenes are strong and the background score keeps the excitement alive throughout the film. Sudheer Babu has brought life to his character. His body language, dialogue delivery and action avatars are very impressive.
The suspended cop “Palani Swamy” played by Sunil also adds life to the story. The other actors – Malavika Sharma, Akshara Gowda and Jayaprakash – have also done a decent job. The first half of the film is well made, but the second half becomes somewhat predictable and slow. The lack of emotional depth and originality in the story are its weak points. Some scenes seem inspired by other films like KGF and Pushpa.
However, the film will definitely appeal to action lovers. It is a “one time watch” action thriller with great background music, good action sequences and authenticity of locations. If you are looking for a deep story or emotional connection, this film might disappoint you. But if you want to sit in the theatre and enjoy spicy action and stylish characters, Harom Hara is a great choice.
Overall, Harom Hara is an average but entertaining action film which can be watched once just for entertainment purposes.

Conclusion
Overall, Harom Hara is a simple but entertaining action film made especially keeping the mass audience in mind. Sudheer Babu’s powerful performance, excellent background music and impressive action scenes are the highlights of the film. However, the lack of originality in the story and some repetitive scenes make it weak. If you are fond of tremendous action and stylish presentation, then this film is definitely worth watching. But if you are expecting something new and a story full of depth, then this film may not live up to your expectations.
