Robinhood story

Ram (Nitin) is an orphan boy who has seen the pain of poverty and hunger closely since his childhood. He sees other orphans like him suffering from hunger, which instills in him the spirit of helping the needy by stealing money from the rich. With the help of his sharp intelligence and clever plans, he steals money from the rich and distributes it among the needy. Over time, he becomes famous as a cunning and clever thief and people start calling him ‘Robin Hood’.

Meanwhile, a dangerous villain (Devdutt Nage) enters the story, who plans to expand the illegal drug trade internationally. He learns that the special variety of marijuana grown in Rudrakonda village is in great demand abroad. He tries to cash in on this opportunity and starts expanding this illegal trade through his mafia network.

On the other hand, Vasudev’s daughter Reena Vasudev (Sreeleela) travels to Rudrakonda village for some special purpose. But the question is what is the connection between this dangerous villain and Abhinav Vasudev (Sijju), the head of AV Pharma company based in Australia? Why does Ram also accompany Reena on this journey? And finally, what is the role of drug mafia kingpin David (David Warner) in this story?

All these questions come to the fore on the big screen, where the story of the film Robin Hood progresses with thrill, action, comedy and emotional twists.

Movie Review

I have to admit that I came into this movie with very low expectations, especially after watching the trailer. The trailer made me think that this movie would be a complete disappointment. But I have to say that the first half surprised me a bit. It’s not as bad as I thought. Some scenes are really funny and bring laughter. There is a good dose of comedy, and some scenes reminded me of Nithin’s old film Bheeshma. However, the music is completely useless. The songs disrupt the flow of the film and seem to be forcibly inserted into the story. They do not have any significant impact, which takes away the fun of watching the film. But still, looking at the first half, it can be said that it is better than expected. Now it remains to be seen how the second half turns out.

Second Half Report:
After watching the second half I can say that it felt weaker than the first half. The climax of the film seems completely scattered and confused. Some parts are a bit funny, but overall it feels like a messy finale. Like the first half, where the film was entertaining to an extent, the story loses its direction in the second half. Overall, the film is mediocre. If compared, it cannot compete with films like Bheeshma, but some viewers may like it.

Now, talking about actors, Sreeleela should really rethink about her career and characters. All her roles in recent times not only seem repetitive but also prove to be irritating for the audience at times. However, the good news is that he was dubbed by someone else, which improves his dialogue delivery to some extent.

The way David Warner’s cameo was promoted, it was completely overhyped. His scenes don’t make much of an impact and his character is not that interesting. The music was already nothing to expect, and it ruins the whole experience even more.

If something has saved the film, it is the comedy of Vennela Kishore and Rajendra Prasad. Their scenes are genuinely entertaining and one of the best parts of the film. Nithin has done what he always does—his performance is nothing special, but it looks okay.

Overall, ‘Robin Hood’ is an average film. It has some good comedy scenes, but the story lacks strength and the climax seems completely scattered. Whether the film is worth watching or not depends on the choice of the audience, but it is nothing more than an ‘average bomma’ (ordinary film).

Conclusion

Robinhood is a light-hearted entertainer that tries to strike a balance between laughter and action. The first half is entertaining, but the second half falls short, especially in the climax. Nithin and Rajendra Prasad’s comedy is good, but the story lacks tightness. Sreeleela’s character is not impressive, and the music is a total disappointment. Despite having some funny scenes, the film is mediocre. If you want to watch a simple time-pass movie, this might be worth a watch, but don’t keep your expectations too high.
